
Benjamin Büscher
Research assistant at the Technical University of Dortmund
Dr. des. Benjamin Büscher studied Physical Education and English at TU Dortmund University from 2009 to 2016 (B.A. & M.Ed.). From 2016 to 2017, he completed his teaching internship for secondary schools and comprehensive schools (subjects: physical education and English) in Dortmund, and since 2019 he has been a research assistant in the fields of sports education and sports sociology at the Institute for Sports and Sports Science at the Technical University of Dortmund. There, he is the managing director of the Dortmund Centre for School Sports Research, a member of the Interest Group for Informal Sports in Germany (ıdísıd) and coordinator of the Qualitative Research in Sports Science Network. His work and research focus on school sports research, informal sports, trend sports, transformative educational research, qualitative social research, ethnography and education for sustainable development.
